From Monday to Saturday at various venues in Barcelona, MarrocFest has offered each day a different proposal from a cycle of intercultural dialogue to a Moroccan Film Festival. On Sunday, Plaza del Rey in Barcelona hosted the Festival of encounter between Moroccan and Catalans of all backgrounds, with children's activities, workshops on Arabic calligraphy and henna, performances "castelleres », and Maghreb jugglers, documentaries, gastronomy, Moroccon music, exhibitions of paintings, photographs, etc

MarrocFest is an initiative of the intercultural association Origens that promotes research for common values between all identities, traditions and civilizations.

The aim of this event is to strengthen the bridges between the Moroccan and the Catalan culture, fostering a mutual understanding that will certainly help to improve this coexistence. The Moroccan community in Catalunya is about 240 000 people.
